Beatrice Madeghe, Tanzania

Beatrice is a researcher and a public health practitioner with a specialty in nutrition and non-communicable diseases. Her research involves examining the efficacy of combined semi-mental nutritional intervention among pregnant women with depression and food insecurity, to improve the mental health of women and their nutritional status. Beatrice is also an educator by profession and has practiced teaching under the ministry of education and vocational training in Tanzania. She has also practiced as a part-time lecturer at the Kenya medical training college-Nairobi, and Technical University of Kenya.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human nutrition, from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Morogoro, Tanzania; a Post-graduate degree in education from the University of Dar-es-salaam; a master’s degree in Public Health; and is a Ph.D student in applied human nutrition at the University of Nairobi, department of food science nutrition and technology.
