Colores is an assistant lecturer at the University of Rwanda’s College of Science and Technology (UR-CST). She previously served as a tutorial assistant in the chemistry department at UR-CST. She is participating in a research project that seeks to identify fishes in Lake Kivu and conducts different analyses including analysis of nutrients, and heavy metals in water and the fishes. She holds a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology (Medical Biotechnology specialisation) from Wageningen University, Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Chemistry (Biochemistry Option) from former Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Rwanda. She is currently pursuing Ph.D studies in the department of infectious diseases at University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
