Kigen is the team leader of BioInnovate Africa supported project that is producing Chicken and fish feed enriched with insect-based proteins (black soldier fly). He is the co-Founder and Managing Director of BioBuu Limited, a company operating in both Kenya & Tanzania that produces high protein chicken and fish feed as well as organic compost. He has built a scalable model that processes over 20 tons of waste every day using Black Solider Fly Larvae.
He holds a Master of Science in Project Management and Operational Development from the Royal Institute of Science and Technology (KTH), Sweden; and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
